Drive-Thru Food Drive: PTO Backpacks for Hunger
Since 2018, the PTO has led the Backpacks for Hunger program to serve approximately 70 students every week in the Granville school district. The PTO needs your help to continue this program for years to come.
What is the Backpacks for Hunger?
Approximately 60% of Granville CSD students are economically disadvantaged with some living at the poverty level. Because of this, children may not have access to food on nights and weekends. This program provides food for students to take home every weekend and on school vacations during the school year.
This program is made possible for the many children that need it because of the support the PTO has received from individuals, community organizations and local grants. The cost to sponsor one student for the entire school year is $237.
If you can't make it to the food drive and would like to donate please find "Granville NY PTO" on Venmo or checks can be made payable to Granville PTO c/o Granville Elementary School, 61 Quaker Street, Granville, NY 12832.
Items Needed:
Oatmeal packets, chew granola bars, Nutrigrain bars, Mac and Cheese Cups, Individual Applesauce, Cereal, Individually wrapped snacks, Ramen Noodles, Peanut Butter (plastic container), Jelly (plastic container), Dry packaged mashed potatoes, fruit cups, boxed stuffing
Drop Off Location: Granville Jr/Sr High School
