See the Light Show in Granville Village
From late November through December, Veteran’s Park in Granville Village is home to a spectacular light show set to music. Tune to 89.3FM and watch as the lights dance along to Christmas classics. Just before Christmas each year, Santa visits the park as part of the annual Tree Lighting Ceremony.
Walk, Snowshoe, or Cross-Country Ski

The Pember Natural History Museum boasts an impressive collection of specimens collected by founder Franklin Pember throughout his lifetime around the turn of the century. Located on the second floor of the Pember building, explore the extensive collection of preserved animals, eggs, and birds from around the world. The collection includes a popular stuffed Kodiak bear, as well as a few now-extinct species.
The Slate Valley Museum celebrates the history and culture of the slate industry with immersive exhibits. Granville is located in the heart of Slate Valley, and is home to a unique vein of red slate. There is no better place to explore the region’s rich history than the Slate Valley Museum. Throughout the winter, the Slate Valley Museum also hosts a number of events that are fun for the whole family.
