D&H Rail Trail Bridge in the Granville Village
Explore the outdoors
Granville is home to scenic trails perfect for walking, biking, or even horseback riding. The D&H Rail Trail is open to biking, walking, and horseback riding. The 26-mile maintained trail intersects the village for easy access.
Take a stroll along the River Walk—a 0.25-mile path starting at the Pember Library & Museum and ending at Water Street. It features a rotating Story Walk and peaceful views of the Mettawee River.

Cast a line
The Mettawee River is stocked with Rainbow and Brown Trout in early April, offering great fishing opportunities for anglers. There are a number of access points throughout Granville, offering great locations to cast a line.

The Pember Nature Preserve offers 125 acres of preserved wetland, forest, and fields. The preserve offers a refuge for native plant and wildlife species, including an abundance of local birds who make the preserve their home each spring. The Pember Museum, located on the second floor of the Pember Library & Museum building (with elevator access), is a local gem. Featuring thousands of wildlife, egg, and plant specimens displayed in Victorian-era cases, this museum is free to the public, and is well worth a visit.
